Dear Liane,
I just wanted to write to you and all the staff at Ivytree to say thank you so much for all you have done for Jack and Eleanor over the last year. They have come such a long way since starting and I am absolutely delighted with how they have grown in confidence and ability. So much of this is due to the kindness, patience, wisdom and experience of the Ivytree team.
From the outset I have been so impressed with the care and individual attention you have given to them both. In particular for Eleanor, who was extremely shy at first and took a long time to find her feet. I always felt totally confident leaving them with you and I am so happy that they have made so many friends, among the children and also with the staff. While the sentiments in this letter are for the whole team, I would like to thank a few people in particular. First of all to Jenny, for always being so cheerful and welcoming at breakfast club and for making that ‘mummy leaving’ time that much easier especially in the early days. Also to Carol for her warmth and love and in particular the support she gave to Jack and Eleanor during their recent visit to Carlisle school.
Also to Jo, who was Eleanor and Jack’s keyperson. For her enthusiasm, wisdom and insight into their development. Also for the advice and support she gave to me in whether they should be placed in the same or different classes when moving to infant school. As well as for her diligence in compiling their lovely development files, which we shall treasure.
Lastly to you Liane; as I have said before, your dedication, commitment and professionalism is second to none. You have always gone out of your way to be helpful and supportive. Going above and beyond the call of duty in replying to emails at evenings and weekends! The advice you have given me in relation to potty training has been invaluable. Your flexibility in allowing me to drop Jack and Eleanor off ten minutes early for lunch club really helped them to settle better at their session.
It is this individual attention and truly child centered approach which make Ivytree a really special place. I feel sad that the children are leaving but am confident that Ivytree have prepared them well for the next stage.
We will always remember Ivytree with great fondness and feel very lucky that Jack and Eleanor were able to spend their pre-school year with you.
With very best wishes,
Clare
